Soft Tissue Mobilizations (IASTM)
IASTM uses specialized tools to boost blood flow, stimulate healing, and break up scar tissue. While it can be uncomfortable during the treatment, it is a very popular choice due to its significant positive results.
Will I bruise? Mild bruising is possible but uncommon.
Will I be sore? Yes, mild soreness for 1–2 days is normal and part of the healing response.
Taping
Taping helps extend the benefits of your PT between sessions. Depending on the type of tape and application, it can support movement, reduce pain, or stabilize joints.
How long can I wear it? Average wear time is 3 days.
Can I shower or swim? Yes—just dry it afterward and keep the ends down.
Will it irritate my skin? Possibly. If you have adhesive allergies, discuss alternatives with your PT.
Cupping increases blood flow and promotes healing. It also helps reduce soft tissue adhesions, improving mobility and reducing pain.
Will I bruise? Mild bruising is common and varies by skin sensitivity. It is not harmful and typically fades within a few days.
Dry needling is a very powerful tool for pain relief, tissue healing, and muscle relaxation. It targets irritated or injured areas to reduce inflammation, improve mobility, and speed recovery.
Will it hurt? A gentle approach is typically used at first to minimize discomfort.
Post-care? Stay hydrated and follow your prescribed home exercises.
